The Institut fran\u00e7ais du Luxembourg is the official language and culture center of the French government in the Grand Duchy and offers French courses since 2015.<\/p>\n

In addition to general French courses, we also offer courses for learning French for specific professional purposes.<\/span>

To keep them up to date with the latest teaching methods, the Institut regularly organizes teacher training courses.<\/span>
Each teacher chooses his or her own material to guide your progress in French; there is no single method or manual, but a common, rigid structure with grammar, vocabulary, and written and oral communication.<\/span><\/p>\n

The emphasis is on communication, both written and oral, with activities that encourage active participation from students. We’ve opted for an immersive method from the beginner level upwards, with fun activities to switch your brain to the French language and enable you to acquire rapid proficiency in the language. From the enrolment process to discussions with your teacher, everything is in French!<\/span><\/p>\n

Each level, from A1 to C2, requires a certain number of hours of learning and the acquisition of specific language skills. These skills are practiced and assessed in 4 main skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. As soon as you pass one level, you can move on to the next – until you have perfected your command of the French language!<\/span><\/p>\n

3<\/span><\/strong> Do your placement test if you don’t know your level in French yet! This test is made of two parts: a written online assessment and then an online oral interview via ZOOM. The test costs \u20ac 25.<\/span><\/p>\n

Course registrations open 5 weeks before the start of the session.<\/span><\/p>\n

One week is needed to organise a placement test, from registration to test result. This test is not required for complete beginners or for anyone who can present a certificate of level less than 12 months old.<\/span><\/p>\n

Full payment for your course must be made at least 3 days before the start date of the session, in order to guarantee access to the course.<\/span>
OLAI \/ ADEM \/ CAI vouchers are not accepted.<\/span>
The Institut fran\u00e7ais du Luxembourg only accepts bank transfers. The Institut’s bank details can be found on your contract and invoice.<\/span><\/p>\n
